Waco's #9 Attraction - Dr. Pepper Museum!

Image
There is nothing that speaks more to the roots of Waco, TX than a good old Dr. Pepper. This iconic museum includes the original bottling plant, which opened in 1906 in the historic Kellum-Rotan building. This particular building was constructed in the 1880s which make it one of the oldest buildings that remain in the downtown-Waco area.  The museum includes some of the most exquisite soft drink collections in the world. The drinks are not all Dr. Pepper oriented and include some outside brands such as Pepsi-Cola and Kickapoo Joy Juice. It was made by Dr. Charles Alderton at a Old Corner Drug Store in 1885. A fun fact is that Coca-Cola would start a year later! Magnolia Market is the original store which opened at the Silos and is filled with home decor goods, apparel, kitchen items, and different gardening items. Obviously, the complex is more geared towards those interested in home improvement, which points to the origin of the hit HGTV show.  Magnolia Home targets customers who are specifically interested in room design ideas and features variou...
