Waco's #9 Attraction - Dr. Pepper Museum!
There is nothing that speaks more to the roots of Waco, TX than a good old Dr. Pepper. This iconic museum includes the original bottling plant, which opened in 1906 in the historic Kellum-Rotan building. This particular building was constructed in the 1880s which make it one of the oldest buildings that remain in the downtown-Waco area. The museum includes some of the most exquisite soft drink collections in the world. The drinks are not all Dr. Pepper oriented and include some outside brands such as Pepsi-Cola and Kickapoo Joy Juice. These collections serve as a source of information for all soft-drinks. Dr. Pepper, which originated in Waco, Texas, is the oldest major soft drink in America. It was made by Dr. Charles Alderton at a Old Corner Drug Store in 1885.
