Waco's #10 Attraction - Magnolia!

21 Fun Things to Do in Waco, Texas

While many of us Waco natives get a bit tired of all the attention that Magnolia brings, I will admit that it is a pretty cool site to visit. Baylor grads themselves, Chip and Joanna Gaines have brought immense growth to the Waco area. Many tourists are already familiar with the highly-rated HGTV TV Show "Fixer Upper," and the couple has become quite an internet sensation with hundreds of thousands of people descending upon the Silos every year. In fact, last year alone, 825,281 visitors toured the top Waco attraction.

At the Silos, you can find a plethora of things to do while visiting. Magnolia Market is the original store which opened at the Silos and is filled with home decor goods, apparel, kitchen items, and different gardening items. Obviously, the complex is more geared towards those interested in home improvement, which points to the origin of the hit HGTV show.

Magnolia Home targets customers who are specifically interested in room design ideas and features various of collections that range from designs for dining rooms, bedrooms, living rooms and more. Magnolia claims that these designs can help "imagine the possibilities for your own home."

The Shops at the Silos feature boutique-style shops and each of these stores has a specific theme. Joanna personally designed the six shops: The Souvenir Shop, The Art of Entertaining, No. 16, Weekend, Homebody, and The Holiday Shop. Magnolia says that these shops "offer a more intimate shopping experience and product selection."

One of the most popular attractions apart from the Silos property itself is the company's restaurant, Magnolia Table. Being from Waco, I know how difficult it is to be seated at this iconic sit-down restaurant. Magnolia Table offers brunch options Monday - Saturday which is their most popular offering. They offer dishes such as French toast, biscuits grilled cheese, and more. Additionally, they have just started offering dinner Thursday - Saturday. I personally haven't tried the dinner, but can attest to the amazing quality of food in brunch. The Breakfast Sandwich is personally my favorite item on the menu.

Magnolia is a great company overall and has brought tremendous growth to the Waco area. The amount of tourists I encounter daily that are here just to see this attraction is unbelievable! If you live in Waco or perhaps go to Baylor, this can be a great spot to show friends and family who are visiting. Be sure to check out this Waco top attraction.
